This project involved a complete transformation of a charming, early 1900s stable into a fully-functioning home. The internal layout of the new design was created by Simon Best Associates structural and the engineering by Afongate Ltd. Both companies worked together with us to change this historic building into a home, whilst maintaining elements of its past.

A fireplace rebuilt using reclaimed brick melds naturally with exposed historic timbers, visible glimpses of the building’s past woven into its present.

Internally, reclaimed timber from the same era was used throughout, complemented by cottage-salvaged doors, maintaining authenticity and character.
Overview
This project demonstrates VDB Group’s ability to complete high-quality renovations on a large scale. The team were successful in fully transforming the barn into a beautiful living space that included the outside landscaping. If you can imagine it, we can build it.
